Everything we saw at Grass Lands, Outside Lands

Outside Lands

Where there’s a music festival, there’s bound to be marijuana, but this year’s Outside Lands marked the first time attendees could purchase and consume cannabis products on-site at a sanctioned area dubbed Grass Lands (ICYMI, hella pics in the slideshow above). And purchase they did, to the tune of seven figures.

So exactly how much green can you buy for a million greenbacks? Organizers Highland Events weren’t able to share a breakdown of specific sales numbers (or even an exact revenue figure), but for reference, we did the math on a few products sold at the festival.

Edibles were an economical move, Kiva Confections offered perhaps the best deal at $5 for a pair of wild berry gummies. For a million dollars, you could purchase 400,000, which is nearly enough to medicate half the population of  San Francisco.

How about some old fashioned indica flower? The brand Cookies partnered with former Seattle Supersonics star Gary “The Glove” Payton on a strain that sells for $75 for an eighth of an ounce, so a cool million would buy about 105 pounds.

Vaping more your style? Bloom Farms offered their Maui Wowie carts for $40, a million dollars worth of juice equals about 25,000 cartridges.

Looking for a pre-rolled joint? A double OG Chem strain from Flow Kana runs $15, which amounts to 66,666 joints — finally proof that cannabis is indeed the Devil’s lettuce.
