Five arrested after raids turn up cocaine, heroin, cannabis and cash

Five people were arrested after a series of raids across Birkenhead turned up cocaine, heroin, cannabis and cash.

The three men and two women were taken into custody when officers executed warrants at a house on Harrowby Road and two in The Woodlands at around 10am on Wednesday.

During searches at the properties class A and class B drugs were found along with a quantity of cash.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed that five people were arrested as a result of the raids and were currently being questioned by police.

In a statement, the force said: “We have arrested three males and two females and seized a quantity of drugs and cash following  warrants in Birkenhead today, Wednesday 15 May.

“At around 10am, officers carried out  drugs warrants at three addresses, one in Harrowby Road, and two in The Woodlands resulting in the seizure of heroin, cocaine, cannabis and cash.

“The three men and two women have been taken into custody for questioning.”

A 34-year-old woman from Birkenhead was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs.

A 41-year-old woman from Birkenhead was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs.

A 37-year-old man from Birkenhead was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis class A and class B drugs.

A 37-year-old man from Birkenhead was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis class A and class B drugs.

A 30-year-old man from Birkenhead was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis class A and class B drugs.
