Assam: One held with 700 kg cannabis in Dhaligaon

Dhaligaon (Assam), [India], Mar 15 (ANI): Assam Police on Thursday arrested a man and seized over 700 kilograms of cannabis from him in Dhaligaon area of Assam.
After receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and found a car carrying cannabis in polythene bags. 
“We received information that a car carrying suspected material was arriving from Agartala. We intercepted the car and seized around 29 packets of ganja, weighing over 700 kg. One person has been arrested,” police told ANI.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway. 
On March 1, three persons were arrested with 621.3 kg cannabis in Telangana. (ANI)
